A Wednesbury Weekend

Good Evening :) Hope you are well. This blog post will compose of two parts. First part a film review and the second is me sharing my experience with some of my family at a meal in Birmingham.

Before I get to the film review, I should start with a little back story.

I am not a massive film buff, so much so I never really watched any films (including big ones - Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hunger Games, Shawshank Redemption… the list does go on I’m afraid to admit).

But since my breakup, I’ve been watching more films to try and fill my time and keep my mind occupied.

Anyway, back to the film review. I watched The Wolf of Wall Street last night (I did begin to watch it on the train which was’t my brightest idea). The film was quite good to be honest, how DiCaprio hasn’t won an Oscar is beyond me. The only thing I cringed at was the cheating that Jordan Belfort was doing, as that something that I do not condone. I think Jonah Hill’s role as Donny was well portrayed also. Oh how I’d love that kind of wealth.. maybe some day ey ;)

I’m watching Pirates of the Caribbean 1 at the moment, so will update you tomorrow about it.

The main reason I came back home was to go to meal that my cousins booked ages ago. It was at a restaurant called Asha, an Indian restaurant in Brum, which was really really nice. We ordered both starters and main courses which in hindsight was a mistake as I couldn’t finish my main. On the flip side, the company was really really good. I thought it was going to be a bit awkward with them asking questions about my life and my decisions made so far. But they didn’t. What they did was take my mind off everything and enjoyed the meal. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so It was good to catch up and learn what we were all doing with our lives. We’ve planned to go out for drinks when we’re all back for Christmas so looking forward to that. :)

Now time to watch Man Utd lose to Bournemouth on Match of the Day… Have a good rest of the night and speak to you tomorrow. Peace :)
